The Best Edible Advent Calendars of 2020
Everyone needs a little happiness this year, and my favorite form of that is advent calendars! Opening little gifts is my literal favorite, so I don't have a SINGLE bad day in December when I get one of these. I've rounded up some of my favorite food based ones in case any of y'all are looking for one to get.
DAVID'S TEA 24 DAYS OF TEA - $50.00
This is my go-to every single year. I'm a huge tea fan and David's Tea is one of my favorite brands. This is absolutely worth the money and I love getting to try a ton of new teas to end my year!
If tea's not you're thing but matcha is - David's Tea has your back here too! This is their first year adding this one and its already a fan favorite. This one also comes with treats, which sounds WONDERFUL. "Find festive & classic blends, plus a sprinkling of infused chocolates, vegan Matcha Alligator gummies & a 50 g jar of matcha honey."
If you want the fun of trying tea everyday without the David's price tag, this Uncommon Goods calendar is a great option! With only 5 star reviews, this sounds like a pretty great option.
One more ~even cheaper~ tea option because I want everyone to be able to enjoy the wonderfulness of a different tea every day this season! Note, there are a many good reviews, but a few note that there are multiple licorice flavors included in this pack.
This was the first coffee calendar I've come across, though I love this idea almost as much as the tea. With this option, you can even add on an extra french press to use with your coffee. This one also has a ton of great reviews!
I love this coffee calendar from World Market because it's specifically Holiday flavors. This is a great (and reasonably priced) option if you want to drink your holiday cheer this year.
Okay these people also have a hot chocolate calendar and I LOVE IT. I'm buying this ASAP. The reviews are great, the packets are completely biodegradable, and it's "real flakes of Silky Smooth Belgian Drinking Chocolate" Wow. Love it.
Chocolate is my THING so this calendar sounds like literal H e a v e n. I was honestly pleasantly surprised at the price of this given it's Godiva as well. I would absolutely love to start every day trying a new chocolate.
If you want a cheaper option but still open a little pocket of heavenly chocolate every day - Williams Sonoma has got your back. I will note that the most recent review says that buying online may result in your chocolate migrating around the box - but have no fear, we conveniently have one right over at The Summit!
I absolutely love the little Lindt Bunnies so there's no way this Lindt bear + friends calendar isn't absolutely wonderful. I definitely have super high hopes for this one!
This chocolate calendar is milk, nut, soy, wheat, egg, fish, and gluten free. This makes it so that everyone can join in on the advent fun!
If you're not a chocolate person but still want some sweets for your calendar, this caramel one from McCrea's is an interesting option as well. I will note that the reviews are very mixed. Many say that it's good caramel, flimsy calendar.
I realize that a lot of the sweets calendars on here have been chocolate based, so I loved discovering this one that isn't! While there are no reviews for this specific product, this sweets shop has a ton of great reviews on their candy, so I imagine this wouldn't disappoint!
I'm absolutely loving these small business Etsy advents. They're all so creative, and I love getting to support small businesses in the process! This fudge one has RAVING reviews, so this might be a must order for this Holiday season.
I'm a huge fan of these ~different~ advent calendars and this may be the coolest. If you're a hot sauce fan, you can try 12 different 3oz. containers of hot sauce to celebrate your holiday season! While that's not my thing, that sounds like it's for sure someone's dream.
If you want a more extreme hot sauce calendar, this option from BYOBHotSauce has 25 2oz. hot sauces and comes in a 12 pound delivery. Definitely a legit way to spend your Holiday season.
Speaking of super interesting calendars - this Bonne Maman one is new. It comes wtih 24 mini fruit spreads and honeys. This has a TON of great reviews, so it definitely sounds like a cool buy to celebrate your holiday season with.
World Market has a TON of different advent calendars and honestly it seems like they have the coolest ones as well. I definitely want to try a new (handcrafted Italian) pasta every day leading up to Christmas... Honestly that's all I want for Christmas this year.
This jerky filled calendar has 25 .5 oz packets of jerky, and a TON of 5 star reviews. This is definitely a great purchase for the jerky lover in your life.
World Market truly has everything. This popcorn calendar sounds like the exact crunchy treat I need to pair with my hot chocolate every evening while I'm watching Christmas movies! This calendar comes with small packages of various flavored popcorns.
Another fun popcorn calendar, you can buy this one with or without additional popcorn cups (Find the one with cups here). This calendar is a little different in that it comes with a variety of popcorn related things, like "kernels, seasonings, recipes, and more".
This is in my opinion, the best looking of the bunch. This popcorn calendar has MOUTHWATERING mostly chocolate based varieties. There's even a Cinnabon flavored one included. W o w.
Y'all know I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so I was in awe when I saw this one. I do have to throw out a disclaimer with this one: This is official HP merchandise, which unfortunately means it supports JKR, so buyer beware.
I did come across this option for anyone who wants in on the fun but celebrates Hanukkah instead! It comes with 8 different sweet treats and the inside design is a menorah, with each treat as the flame.
GROUP ORDER CALENDARS
A few calendars are small ones that come with multiple for a good price. These are great for kids or if you and your roommates all want to do a small simple one together
CALENDAR BODIES + FILLERS
A lot of people prefer the make your own advent calendar routes. There are too many options to discuss, you can realistically find any design you want. But I wanted to include my 2 favorite options: Fill your own mini wine bottles, and fill your own K-cups
There are as many filler options as their are calendars, so I again won't even try to summarize them. But I came across this super cute option and wanted to include it for anyone doing their own calendars out there!
